Hole In The Ground
Hole In The Ground
OK, go ahead, I'll wait...
In case you were wondering what I was waiting for... it was for you to stop laughing after just finding out that I have lived in Arizona for 26 years, and had never been to the Grand Canyon... up until last Sunday of course. Now those who know me probably think I just drove up there for the fun of it, but quite the contrary. Even though my next road trip just happened to be the big GC, that wasn't the reason for the trip. What better way to spend New Years then with friends, family (some had their families present), and Jesus... and not with wasted people being stupid and goofy (just the latter... goofy).

For those who couldn't make it, or just didn't want to come for whatever reason... here is a little of what you missed. By FAR, the most gifted group of speakers I have ever been graced with. Seriously the Lord spoke through them in so many ways and on so many different levels, it was incredible. There was a good 8 - 12 inches of snow ALL over the camp... if I even dare to call it a camp! Lost Canyon is the Cadillac of camps... at least of the ones that I've been to.
We were also not only blessed with great speakers, but with great talent and wisdom. The rhapsodic group Theophany performed the play written by the late Karol Wojtyla, or John Paul the Great, in his earlier years. Bishop Olmsted also joined us for a very good Q and A session with some very challenging and deep questions.
OH, and I almost forgot... the Grand Canyon... or as John put it... Canyon Canyon Canyon (you had to be there, and which apparently is funny on several different levels). I took lots of pics, none can truly grasp just how huge and marvelous it is, but in my feeble attempt, I still try. Below, I will give you a few pictures to tide you over until I can get the rest uploaded. Please CLICK HERE (hopefully updated by Thursday) for the rest, and feel free to leave a comment if you feel so incline, but keep it pithy.
