"On the road again... again"

Next stop was Utah, which is also very scenic.  Our route took us through Zion National Park where I saw a heard of Mule Dear on the side of a mountain.  They were also doing some construction on the only road through the park so it was down to one lane... luckily, they knew how cool I was so they gave me THE Baton.  This isn't your ordinary Baton... this thing has power and they trusted me with it.  I held the fate of dozens of cars in my hand.  We could have stopped along the way, gotten out, taken pictures, had a picnic... whatever we wanted to do.  And traffic would just have had to wait for us :).  BUT, we are fairly good people and were on a schedule, so we pressed on.

This morning, we woke up to some light snow flurries, had some breakfast, and began the day.  At 4:00, the kids arrive and we begin the conference.  Keeps the kids and volunteers in your prayers.

God Bless

After a slight detour through Provo Utah, and a quick jaunt to Diego's Taco shop, we were headed to Wyoming.  The weather was cool, and slowly turned to nearly freezing when it started to rain.  Now me, being a city boy, was a little nervous when it started getting down to about 35 degrees that ice may soon be forming on the roads.  Needless to say we slowed down and played it safe (I know, not typical "Joe driving" but there were other people in the car).  17 hours out of AZ, we made it to the resort, where a nice Wyoming meal was waiting for us down the street.
